Funnel/Growth Marketing Lead

Description

About Protocol Labs

Protocol Labs drives breakthroughs in computing to push humanity forward. Protocol Labs is a product-development lab, but behind the protocols and tools we build, behind the research and implementations, are passionate people, teammates, and community members. Most teams in the Protocol Labs Network are fully distributed and work remotely around the world. Engineers, researchers, and operators work in the open to improve the internet — humanity's most important technology — as we explore new advances at the intersection of many exciting fields (crypto, networks, distributed systems) and cultures (startups, research, open-source, distributed work).

Though much of our focus centers around low-level internet protocol software, decentralized storage, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency, we also know that marketing to our target audience is key to our success. Funnel Marketing works in a highly cross-functional manner, collaborating closely with Product Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Business Development, Support, and the broader community. This role is being sourced for the Ecosystem Team and will report to the Head of Product/Marketing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working very closely with internal and external marketing resources to develop world-class assets.

In Content Marketing at Protocol Labs, you will…

  • Drive the perpetual updating of our various landing pages (largedata.filecoin.io and sp.filecoin.io)

  • Post daily on our social media outlets (Twitter and LinkedIn) as well as curate and promote other Protocol Labs related content

  • Manage Storage Provider, Market Analyst, Vendor and Partner events to ensure we have coverage and exposure

  • Capture leads, capture leads, capture leads

  • Develop thoughtful, informative, and useful nurture campaigns for our Care, Consider, Choose phases of the lead journey

  • Deeply understand the strategies needed to effectively communicate with different user segments, who are often technical but also play roles on the business side of things

  • Understand our existing and prospective storage providers and data owners, be informed about the competitive landscape, comprehend our product roadmap and strategy

You may be a fit for this role if you…

  • Have a passion for technology

  • Get energy from working with a matrixed organization that must be leveraged to gain all relative input for your work

  • Can synthesize complex technology and concepts into content for a broad audience including developers, media, non-technical users, and industry experts

  • Pride yourself on your excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Thrive working cross-functionally alongside a diverse set of technical stakeholders

  • Are a self-starter and enjoy creating order out of ambiguity

Bonus points...

  • Experience and interest in blockchain technology and distributed systems

  • Experience with open source communities and projects

  • Experience with distributed organizations
